In the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), we are exploring EOEPCA as a general blueprint for software systems where both scientists and data production experts need to explore new functionality or do computational expensive research, but do not want to be bothered with cloud and infrastructure details. So far, the results are eye-opening. EOEPCA principles and technologies have been applied to many different production and scientific workflow processes successfully. What I am interested in is the experiences made when converting from existing systems to containerized software that can be made available as a Service. Is it difficult to sell/implement internally?
